Solar Energy Subscription

Savings

How much do I save when installing the panels?
You can save up to 50% of what you currently pay to your energy company, with no investment. Once the system is put into operation, your current energy bill gradually decreases until you reach a minimum consumption. The addition of the low rate of the electricity company, plus your payment to Terra can be equivalent to up to 50% less than what you currently pay, depending on your available space.
What will you be charging me for electricity and your system?
Your savings depend on the number of panels required and your consumption of energy; however, you can expect to save up to 60% of what you currently pay.

Requirements

How do I know if I am a candidate for Terra Energy Solar Subscription?
If you are looking to save money and have an option for your electric company, then you qualify. You must also own the property where the installation will take place. Everything else we take care of. And you must have a roof that is exposed to the sun.
What are the subscription requirements?
The required documents for the signup process are Electrical Company Statement, the Property’s owner ID, and the property’s Insurance Policy. You must have a bank account or Credit Card to auto-debit your payments and enough available and viable space to install the panels. Once you sign the contract, that’s it, we handle the rest. You must also have a 650 mininmum credit score or better.

Installation

How long is the installation?
The process normally takes about 4-12 weeks depending on if your home is part of an HOA and county. Once that is determined, we would be able to give you an accurate assessment of when the installation will happen. However, you do not pay until savings are generated.

Subscription

What is a solar subscription?
It is the best option that allows you to save each month on your payments of electricity for your home, business, and industry through the installation of solar panels on the roof of your property without long-term commitments and only 36-month terms.

Process

How long does the process take?
The process takes approximately 10-15 weeks from the approval of installation, quality review, and interconnection procedures. Remember you do not pay anything until the system is installed and in full operation.
What happens if the panels are not working?
We monitor our systems in real-time via our software, so we will be fixing the malfunctioning panels before you are even aware they are not working. If at any time, we are unable to service them immediately, we would reimburse you for any additional expenses you may have with your Electrical Company, as a result of system defects.

System

How long does the system last?
The panels have a durability of more than 35 years. As long as you are our client, we take care that the system works correctly and replace what is needed when necessary.
Am I going to run out of energy if there is no sun?
No, you will never run out of power. When the sun is shining, the panels generate energy in excess that is injected into the Electrical Company’s system and at night, or when there is no sun, the energy is taken from the Electrical Company’s system, but from what you previously injected.
What happens if I sell or move?
You have several alternatives: We can transfer the contract to your new home, transfer to the new homeowner at no cost or you can buy the system and include it in the sales price of your home. If any of those are not viable options, we have a simple cancellation policy.
What is interconnection?
It is the procedure that is carried out with the Electrical Company to request the link of the solar system to the network, through a request for a bidirectional measurer.
Where do the solar panels come from and where are they manufactured?

We use Canadian Solar and Silfab solar panels, manufactured in the US.

What happens if I want to cancel my subscription after 36 months?

We have a simple cancelation policy. There is no penalty for cancelation after 36 months. The panels would then be removed from your roof and roof patched in areas of removal.

What happens if I want to cancel my subscription before 36 months?

You will be subject to a cancellation penalty fee.

Does the homeowner receive any federal incentives through this method of solar subscription?

No. Terra Energy owns the solar equipment. Therefore, the homeowner does not receive any subsidies from the government.
